Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 20/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Cold fronts will move through Bass Strait during today and Friday. A high pressure system will move over Victoria on Saturday, then to the east of Tasmania on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayMorning fog patches. Scattered showers in the east, contracting eastwards during the day and becoming isolated. Isolated showers developing from the west during the day, mainly over affecting southern and mountain areas, and then becoming more widespread near the coast during the afternoon and evening. A cool to mild day with moderate westerly winds, freshening near the coast.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Friday 22 AprilScattered showers on and south of the ranges and isolated showers extending to the northwest inland. Snow falls developing above 1700 metres. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.Saturday 23 AprilIsolated showers near the coast and fog patches inland, clearing to a fine and mainly sunny afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate westerly winds.Sunday 24 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches. A mild and mostly sunny day with generally light winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
