MELBOURNE - Apr 20/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad high pressure ridge to the east and a weak trough near the northern border are the main influences on New South Wales, with frontal activity to the south impacting on the weather in southern parts. Another ridge will strengthen from the west at the end of the week with a trough developing off the central and northern coasts. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers in the east, mostly in the northeast and over the southern ranges and slopes. Chance of thunderstorms over the northeast corner. Northwest to southwest winds.Friday 22 AprilIsolated showers near the southern border and on the far north coast. Fine elsewhere. West to southwest winds and local sea breezes on the northern coast.Saturday 23 AprilIsolated showers along coast and adjacent ranges north from about the Illawarra. Fine elsewhere.
