MELBOURNE - Apr 18/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad high pressure ridge dominates most of New South Wales with a weak trough near the northern border. Over the course of the next few days, the ridge will gradually weaken as frontal activity increases to the south by the middle of the week. Another ridge will strengthen from the west at the end of the week with a trough developing off the central and northern coast. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the north. Chance of thunderstorms over the northern inland. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds tending light and variable in the west.Tuesday 19 AprilIsolated showers on the far north coast and adjacent ranges. Early fog in the central parts and on the southwestern slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds tending light and variable in the west.Wednesday 20 AprilIsolated showers on the far north coast and over the southern and central parts, tending scattered on the far southern ranges. Early fog in the central and northern parts. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Light variable winds.Thursday 21 AprilIsolated showers in the southeast, chance of showers in the northeast.
