Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 17/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Victoria will move to the Tasman Sea on Monday, then a weak cold front will move through Bass Strait early Tuesday. Further cold fronts will move eastwards across Victoria on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine and generally clear. Light and variable winds.Monday 18 AprilLocal morning fog patches in the east then a fine and mainly sunny day although isolated showers developing in the far southwest during the evening. Mild with light to moderate northwesterly winds and afternoon seabreezes in Gippsland.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Tuesday 19 AprilFine in the north and east but isolated showers elsewhere. A mild to warm day with a light to moderate northwesterly wind tending southwest to southerly near the coast.Wednesday 20 AprilIsolated showers developing from the west, more widespread in the southwest and about the eastern ranges. A mild day with light to moderate northwesterly winds shifting west to southwesterly from the west.Thursday 21 AprilIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas. A mild day with moderate west to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
