Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 15/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system southwest of Tasmania will move towards Victoria during Saturday before drifting over the State on Sunday. The high will be located over the Tasman Sea on Monday and a weak cold front will move through Bass Strait early Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers over the southeast. Isolated showers over West Gippsland and the Central district. Fine elsewhere. Moderate to locally fresh southeasterly winds.Saturday 16 AprilScattered showers over the southeast becoming isolated in the afternoon. Isolated showers over West Gippsland and the Central district clearing by the afternoon. Dry in the north. Morning fog patches. Cool to mild with moderate to locally fresh southeasterly windsFire Danger -  Low to moderate.Sunday 17 AprilFine after morning fog patches. Mild and sunny with light and variable winds inland, moderate afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Monday 18 AprilLocal morning fog patches then a fine and mainly sunny day although isolated showers developing in the far southwest during the evening. Mild with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 19 AprilFine in the north and east but isolated showers elsewhere. A mild day with a light to moderate northwesterly wind tending southwesterly near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
