MELBOURNE - Apr 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front and associated rain band crossed southern, western and central NSW yesterday and will move slowly across the northeast today. An upper level cold pool and a complex surface low will lie over southern NSW and Victoria today, enhancing shower activity for southern inland districts. The low and cold pool are expected to move slowly to the southeast over the next few days as a weak high pressure ridge develops over northern and central parts of the state. Forecast for the rest of MondayRain areas in the northeast, contracting further towards the Queensland border during the day. Scattered showers about the southern inland with possible local thunder. Isolated showers about central inland areas and the south coast. Snow showers on the Snowy Mountains above about 1400 metres. Early fog patches about the ranges and western slopes. Partly cloudy remainder. westerly winds, north to northwesterly in the far northeast. Mostly light to moderate west to northwest winds.Tuesday 12 AprilIsolated showers in the south on and west of the ranges falling as snow on the Snowy Mountains above about 1600 metres at first. Chance of clearing showers in the northeast. Fine and mostly sunny in the northern inland and on the central coast. Westerly winds and local sea breezes on the northern parts of the coast.Wednesday 13 AprilIsolated showers in the far south mostly west of the ranges. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Westerly winds and local sea breezes on the northern parts of the coast.Thursday 14 AprilIsolated showers in the far southeast, chance of showers for the remainder of the southern coast and in the northeast. Late patchy rain in the northwest. Fine and mostly sunny remainder.
