MELBOURNE - Mar 8/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Wednesday: WARNING SUMMARY: Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Flood Watch for the Northeast Pastoral and northern Flinders districts. SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray downstream from Lock 2 [Waikerie]. For Enquiries, go to www.waterforgood.sa.gov.au. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts and remaining central and eastern districts, contracting to east of Oodnadatta to Clare to Lameroo overnight, then becoming isolated showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Local heavy falls are possible. Isolated showers over remaining areas south of about Woomera, contracting to southern coasts on Wednesday afternoon. Mild with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds in the east, ahead of a southerly change extending eastwards.
