MELBOURNE - Mar 7/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving high centred over the southern Tasman Sea will maintain a ridge over eastern New South Wales early this week. A low pressure trough is likely to affect the west and south of the state on Wednesday, reaching central districts on Thursday as the ridge contracts to the northeast. Another high is expected to develop in the Bight behind the trough and move quickly towards New Zealand at the end of the week. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers on the north and central coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds.Tuesday 8 MarchIsolated showers on the north and central coast and adjacent ranges. Rain areas developing in the far southwest. Fine elsewhere. North to northeast winds.Wednesday 9 MarchIsolated showers in the far northeast. Rain areas extending across the western and southern districts. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds, tending southwest to southeast in the southwestern parts later.Thursday 10 MarchIsolated showers for most of the State, tending to rain areas in the southeast. Northwest to northeast winds ahead of a southerly change extending across the western and southern districts.Friday 11 MarchIsolated showers in most parts, tending scattered in the southeast and clearing from the west. Fine in the far west.
