Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system north of New Zealand extends a ridge to southern Queensland, while another ridge lies over Bass Strait. Between these systems, a broad trough of low pressure stretches from central Australia through New South Wales to the Tasman Sea. The trough is expected to move to the northeast during Tuesday in response to an approaching upper-level system, with a ridge building across the state's south. This pattern then looks set to remain relatively unchanged through to the end of the week, when another high strengthens from the west and the trough moves away.
