Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 25/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high south of the Bight extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast. On Saturday the high is forecast to move across the Tasman Sea, while a broad trough approaches western New South Wales. This trough should move into New South Wales on Sunday and then progress slowly northeastwards next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the southeast corner. Isolated showers over the Lower Western. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Mostly light and variable winds inland, with east to northeasterly sea breezes near the coast.Saturday 26 FebruaryIsolated afternoon showers on the northern ranges and coast. Isolated afternoon showers over the southern inland border. Fine elsewhere. Mostly light and variable winds inland, with northeasterly sea breezes near the coast.Sunday 27 FebruaryIsolated showers and possibly thunderstorms developing in the southeast. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds, turning southerly in the south.Monday 28 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east and south. Fine in the northwest. Northwest to northeast winds ahead of southwest to southeasterly winds spreading through the south.Tuesday 1 MarchIsolated showers in the north and east. Chance of thunderstorms in the north.
