Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 23/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
An almost stationary high pressure system south of Adelaide will drift across Tasmania on Friday, reaching the Tasman Sea by Saturday. A weak cold front will cross Victoria on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine and mostly clear. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 24 FebruaryMorning cloud in the south with possible morning drizzle near the coast. Morning fog patches on and south of the ranges. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate southerly winds, locally freshening about the coast.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Friday 25 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the south. Cloud increasing in the northwest with possible showers developing, but mainly fine. Mild to warm with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times near the coast in the afternoon.Saturday 26 FebruaryIsolated showers in the northwest extending to remaining northern and central areas. Warm with generally light winds, and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Sunday 27 FebruaryIsolated showers extending across the state, but clearing later in the west. Isolated thunderstorms developing during the afternoon in the northeast.
