Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge towards Victoria. The high will move slowly eastwards on Tuesday before settling to the west of Bass Strait during Wednesday and Thursday. The high will move over Tasmania later on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the south mostly contracting to the coast tonight. Fine in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 22 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the south with possible morning drizzle near the coast, generally sunny in the north. Cool to mild with moderate south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Wednesday 23 FebruaryPossible morning drizzle about the central coast. Otherwise a cool to mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Thursday 24 FebruaryPossible morning drizzle about the central coast. Warm in the north, milder in the south. A mostly sunny day with light to moderate southerly winds, locally freshening about the coast.Friday 25 FebruaryPossible morning drizzle about the central coast. Warm in the north, milder in the south.
