MELBOURNE - Feb 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A vigorous cold front is on the far north coast and will clear the coast overnight. A high south of the Bight in the wake of the front is expected to be slow-moving and remain west of Tasmania for most of the coming week bringing dry, mostly sunny and milder conditions to most of the state. Forecast for the rest of MondayShowers and thunderstorms over the northeast, contracting further northeast and clearing overnight. Isolated showers along the southern and central coast and adjacent ranges, contracting northwards. Fine over the remainder. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Tuesday 22 FebruaryScattered showers along the northern coast and ranges. Isolated showers extending south to the Illawarra. East to southeast winds.Wednesday 23 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Mostly east to southeast winds inland, south to southeast on the coast.Thursday 24 FebruaryIsolated showers on the north coast and far northern ranges. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds on the coast, mostly light and variable over the inland.Friday 25 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny conditions throughout.
