Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 19/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system near King Island will continue to drift southeastwards overnight. A weak cold front will cross Victoria on Sunday whilst a high pressure system forms over waters south of the Bight. The high will move only slowly eastwards during Monday and Tuesday to reach the western border on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. West to northwesterly winds slowly easing.Sunday 20 FebruaryIsolated showers, mainly on and south of the ranges. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate reaching high in the northwest.Monday 21 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast. A cool to mild day with moderate to locally fresh southerly winds easing in the west.Tuesday 22 FebruaryFine apart from isolated morning showers or drizzle about the coast. Cool to mild and generally sunny inland with moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 23 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers about the Gippsland coast.
