MELBOURNE - Feb 18/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Saturday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of the pastoral areas. A Severe Weather Warning. A Strong Wind Warning for the South East Coast. SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray. For Enquiries go to www.waterforgood.sa.gov.au. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Rain contracting eastwards and clearing overnight, heavy at times over the southeast. Isolated showers to follow, tending to drizzle about the western slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges tonight and Saturday morning. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over pastoral districts. Mild in the south, grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly following the rain band.
