Australia -- Western Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 18/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning summary
Tropical Cyclone Watch for coastal areas from the NT Border to Kalumburu.
Flood Warnings for the southern Interior, Gascoyne, Greenough and Murchison
River catchments, and Goldfields.
Flood Watch for the north and east Kimberley.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from Jurien Bay to Walpole for Saturday
evening.
Forecast for Friday    evening
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior and northeast Eucla: Scattered showers.
Isolated thunderstorms, tending scattered in the afternoon. Some possible
moderate to heavy falls over the northern Gascoyne in the evening and over the
north Kimberley, with some squalls over the north Kimberley.
Areas of rain with some moderate to heavy falls and possible flooding over the
southern Interior and northeast Eucla contracting to the southeast Interior by
evening.
Goldfields, Eucla, eastern parts of the South Coastal district and Southeast
Coastal district: areas of drizzle or isolated showers.
Forecast for Saturday
Gascoyne and northern Central West district: Rain areas and isolated
thunderstorms with some possible moderate to heavy falls.
Kimberley: Scattered showers and thunderstorms with some heavy falls, mainly in
the north.
Remaining Kimberley, the Interior, Pilbara and far northern Goldfields: Isolated
thunderstorms and showers clearing from the far SE interior during the morning.
Far NE Eucla: Isolated showers clearing during the morning.
Near the south coast west of Bremer Bay: Isolated showers or drizzle.
