Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 13/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just east of Tasmania will drift across the south Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A low pressure trough will approach western Victoria later Wednesday, then move across Victoria on Thursday. A high pressure ridge will pass south of Victoria during Friday and another low pressure trough will move over South Australia.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine and generally clear. East to southeasterly winds, locally fresh along the coast.Tuesday 15 FebruaryLocal early morning fog in the south. Isolated showers developing from the north during the day, mainly about the ranges and in the northwest with the chance of late thunderstorms. A warm and humid day with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Wednesday 16 FebruaryIsolated showers developing, mainly in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. A mild to warm and humid day with light to moderate northeast to easterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 17 FebruaryScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms extending eastwards during the day. A mild to warm and humid day with light northerly winds shifting moderate to fresh southwesterly from the west during the afternoon and evening.Friday 18 FebruaryScattered showers in the east with isolated thunderstorms in the far east. Patchy rain developing in the west in the evening. Light to moderate east to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
