Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 13/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will pass across Tasmania today, reaching the south Tasman Sea Tuesday. A low pressure trough will approach western Victoria later Wednesday, then move across Victoria on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from local early morning drizzle near the west coast. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds, freshening about the coast during the afternoon and evening.Fire Danger -  Low to Moderate.Tuesday 15 FebruaryIsolated showers developing from the north during the day, mainly about the ranges and in the northwest. Isolated thunderstorms about the ranges and in the west during the afternoon and evening. A mild to warm and humid day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Wednesday 16 FebruaryIsolated showers, mainly over central and eastern parts and more widespread in the northeast. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the northeast. A mild to warm and humid day with light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast during the afternoon.Thursday 17 FebruaryIsolated showers, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Isolated thunderstorms in the north and east during the afternoon and evening. A mild to warm and humid day with light northerly winds shifting moderate to fresh southwesterly from the west during the afternoon and evening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
