Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough lies over inland New South Wales. This trough will remain a feature over the state during the coming week. A high south of the Bight will move eastwards and is expected east of Tasmania on Monday and near New Zealand on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayShowers, rain areas and thunderstorms about the northeast. Chance isolated showers/ drizzle about the central coast and adjacent east ranges. Fine remainder. East to southeast winds, tending southerly along the southern half of the coast.Monday 14 FebruaryFine over most of the southern inland and on the far south coast. Scattered showers or rain areas on the northern coast and ranges more isolated about the remaining coast and central ranges. Scattered showers and thunderstorms over the northwestern inland, tending isolated about the central inland. East to southeast winds.Tuesday 15 FebruaryShowers possible throughout the state, most likely about the western inland and along the northern coast. The chance of thunderstorms over the western inland and on the far north coast. Northeast to southeast winds.Wednesday 16 FebruaryShowers over most of the state, least likely about the northern slopes and plains and in the far southwest. North to northeast winds in the east ahead of a southwesterly change in the southwest.Thursday 17 FebruaryFine in the far southwest. Showers over the remainder tending scattered along the coast and about parts of the southeast. Mostly southeast to northeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
