Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 11/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to the New South Wales north coast. A cold front is bringing a southerly change to southern and central parts of the state today, and is expected to weaken into a trough over the northeast by Sunday. Another high pressure system will develop south of the Bight during the weekend, extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast behind the front.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy although fine in the far southern inland and the far northern inland. Isolated showers over the southeast, and developing about parts of the northern coast and ranges with possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Patchy rain and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere, increasing to rain areas about the central tablelands and parts of the central west. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast. A southwest to southeast change extending through the remainder.Sunday 13 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Showers elsewhere, increasing to rain areas about the northern coast. Possible thunderstorms over the central inland. East to southeast winds.Monday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers in central parts, tending scattered in the north. Rain areas about the north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Tuesday 15 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered in the northeast.
