MELBOURNE - Feb 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Friday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is current for the Northwest Pastoral and West Coast districts. A Strong Wind Warning has been issued for the Far West, West, South Central and South East coasts for Friday. SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray. For Enquiries go to www.waterforgood.sa.gov.au. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Patchy rain and isolated thunderstorms near southern and western coasts, gradually extending northwards to reach south of a line Broken Hill to Tarcoola late Friday evening, but also clearing from the south in the morning, and over most of the agricultural area by evening. Isolated showers and thunderstorms further north, and isolated showers persisting near southern coasts on Friday. Warm to hot this evening, ahead of a milder southerly change extending over the agricultural area overnight or on Friday. Southerly winds becoming fresh to strong near the coasts later Friday.
