MELBOURNE - Feb 5/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Sunday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is current for the Flinders and Pastoral districts. A Flood Watch is current for the Pastoral and Flinders districts. SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray. For Enquiries go to www.waterforgood.sa.gov.au. A Strong Wind Warning is current for the Far West, West and South Central Coasts. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Areas of rain over the Pastoral and Flinders districts north of about Port Augusta, with local heavy falls and possible flooding. Isolated gusty thunderstorms north of Leigh Creek. Fine over the remainder apart from isolated light early showers near the far west coast, and isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East, clearing by Sunday evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, strong at times near western coasts and over the Northwest Pastoral. Winds also tending fresh to strong northeast to southeast near the northern border.
