Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 4/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough will be almost stationary over Victoria until tomorrow when a cold front will move across the State. A high pressure system will then develop south of Western Australia and extend a ridge over Victoria on Sunday and Monday. The high pressure system will be located just west of Tasmania later on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, tending to rain at times. Local heavy falls possible. Warm to hot and humid with moderate to locally fresh north to northwesterly winds tending southwesterly in the west.Saturday 5 FebruaryHumid with heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms, contracting to the north and east later in the day. Milder with fresh northwesterly winds in the east although southwesterly winds becoming general during the day. Becoming less humid in the south later.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Sunday 6 FebruaryEarly rain in the east. Isolated showers in the south clearing by afternoon. Cool southwest to southerly winds extending throughout.Monday 7 FebruaryFine apart from coastal drizzle developing later in the day. Cool to mild with mainly moderate southerly winds.Tuesday 8 FebruaryFine in the north. Isolated drizzle in the south clearing during the the morning. A cool to mild day with a light to moderate south to southeasterly wind.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
