Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 28/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high west of Bass Strait is moving east with a ridge pushing north along the NSW coast. The high should become established over the Tasman Sea over the weekend with a ridge to the north coast. Hot to very hot north to northwesterly winds are expected to return to much of the state on Sunday, followed by an extended hot spell well into next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers along the northern coast, clearing from the south. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous surf conditions.Fire Danger -  Very High for the North Western Fire DistrictSunday 30 JanuaryIsolated showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. North to northeast winds tending very hot northwesterly in the southwest.Monday 31 JanuaryThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot to very hot northeast to northwest winds tempered along the coast by north to northeast sea breezes.Tuesday 1 FebruaryRemaining fine along the coast and in the southern border districts. Isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms developing over most of the remainder, and tending to rain areas along parts of the inland Queensland border during the day. Hot to very hot northwest winds, locally tempered along the coast by sea breezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday.Product IDN10031
