MELBOURNE - Jan 28/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high west of Bass Strait is moving east with a ridge pushing north along the coast. The high should become established over the Tasman Sea over the weekend with a ridge to the north coast. Hot to very hot north to northwesterly winds are expected to return to much of the state on Sunday, followed by an extended hot spell well into next week. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms in the northeast inland. Isolated showers along the far north coast. Fine elsewhere. South to southeast windsSaturday 29 JanuaryIsolated showers along the coast, clearing early from southern and central parts, and from the southern parts of the north coast by early afternoon. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Fire Danger - Very High for the North Western Fire DistrictSunday 30 JanuaryIsolated showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
