Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is extending a ridge to Queensland coast is directing moist winds into a trough over the western New South Wales. During Friday and Saturday the high will move towards New Zealand, while the trough will move over the central parts of the state and weaken.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPartly cloudy. Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms over the west, locally heavy in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds, fresh along the coast, and in the far west.Friday 14 JanuaryAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms in the west and southeast. Isolated showers along the central and northern coast and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeast winds turning southerly in the west.Saturday 15 JanuaryAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms in the central and southeastern districts. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to southeast winds.Sunday 16 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered in the northern inland.
