MELBOURNE - Jan 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Tuesday: WARNING SUMMARY: SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray. For Enquiries: www.waterforgood.sa.gov.au SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Isolated showers and thunderstorms north of about Ceduna to Yunta, increasing to areas of rain over the southwest of the Northwest Pastoral and western West Coast districts early Tuesday, then extending over the remaining parts of the West Coast district north of Ceduna, southern Pastoral districts south of Coober Pedy and the northern Flinders district. Rain easing and contracting northeastwards in the evening. Fine further south. Generally mild about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot in the far north. Moderate south to southeast winds, fresh at times about the coasts, and becoming fresh and gusty in the far north during the day Tuesday with areas of raised dust.
