Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 30/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

For tonight and Friday:
WARNING SUMMARY:
SA Department for Water has issued a Flood Watch for the River Murray.

A Fire Weather Warning is current.
Barley Growers are advised that the potential exists for severe damage to crops
on Friday.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA:
Isolated thundery showers west of Ceduna, extending across the agricultural area
and south of the pastoral districts on Friday, though remaining fine over
Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Warm about southern coasts, hot to
very hot elsewhere tonight with light to moderate southeast to southwest winds,
fresh about the southern coasts, turning moderate to fresh northeast to
northerly in the north and west. Very hot throughout on Friday, with north to
northwest winds, fresh to strong over the agricultural area producing Extreme to
Catastrophic Fire Danger, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest change reaching
a line Wudinna to Lameroo late afternoon and Tarcoola to Renmark late evening.
