Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 27/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will rapidly cross Bass Strait on Tuesday to the reach the Tasman Sea by the evening. A weak cold front will cross Tasmania on Wednesday with an associated trough of low pressure expected to cross Victoria. The next high pressure system will then move rapidly through Bass Strait, reaching the Tasman Sea by Thursday night. Another cold front will move across western and central Victoria later on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. A cold morning then mild this afternoon. Early cloud near the coast, otherwise a mostly sunny day with light winds tending northeasterly and fresh afternoon coastal seabreezes.Wednesday 29 DecemberFine although partly cloudy. Moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds shifting cooler southwest to southerly from the west.Thursday 30 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south and warm to hot north of the divide. Generally light winds and fresh afternoon coastal seabreezes.Friday 31 DecemberHot and dry day. Moderate north to northwesterly winds shifting milder southwesterly in western and central districts in the evening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
