Red Meat Production Under Previous Year
Commercial red meat production for the United States totaled 4.33 billion
pounds in November, up 9 percent from the 3.96 billion pounds produced in
November 2009.
Beef production, at 2.24 billion pounds, was 11 percent above the previous
year. Cattle slaughter totaled 2.88 million head, up 11 percent from November
