MELBOURNE - Dec 16/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Severe Weather Warning for the area bounded by Carnarvon to Meekatharra to
Laverton to Paynes Find to Kalbarri.
Flood Watch for coastal streams between Exmouth and Kalbarri.
Gale Warning for coastal waters Carnarvon to Kalbarri.
Strong Wind Warning for remaining coastal waters between Cape Preston and Windy
Harbour.
Forecast for Friday
A band of rain across the western and southern Gascoyne, northern Central West,
northern half of the Goldfields and the southern Interior with heavy falls and
strong winds.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms north of the rain band tending scattered with
moderate falls possible in western parts and in the Kimberley in the afternoon.
Isolated light showers during the morning near the south coast.
