Australia -- Western Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 16/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning summary
Severe Weather Warning for coastal parts between Onslow and Kalbarri, extending
inland to areas from Kalbarri to Mt Magnet to Laverton to Meekatharra to Coral
Bay.
Flood Watch for coastal streams between Exmouth and Kalbarri.
Gale Warning for coastal waters Carnarvon to Kalbarri.
Strong Wind Warning for remaining coastal waters between Cape Preston and Windy
Harbour.
Forecast for Thursday  evening
Gascoyne and the far northern Central West district: Rain and isolated
thunderstorms with heavy falls and flash flooding possible.
Remainder north of a line from Geraldton to Kalgoorlie to Forrest: Isolated
thunderstorms and showers tending scattered in the west Pilbara. Showers tending
to rain in the northern Goldfields with some heavier falls developing overnight.
About the south coast near Albany: Isolated light showers.
Forecast for Friday
A band of rain across the Gascoyne, northern Central West, northern half of the
Goldfields and the southern Interior with heavy falls and strong winds.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms north of the rain band tending scattered in
the central and west Pilbara and northern Kimberley where some moderate falls
are expected.
Isolated light showers during the morning near the south coast.
