MELBOURNE - Dec 14/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Final Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream of Lake Hume. Final Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for Rural Areas for the Castlereagh River Downstream of Coonamble. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Macquarie River at Narromine and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Bogan River. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Forbes and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murray River Downstream Corowa. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Culgoa, Bokhara and Narran Rivers. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Warrego River. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River. Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Walgett and Downstream and the Darling River at Bourke and Downstream. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Ulladulla and Gabo Island. Weather Situation A cold front will move thorough western and southeastern New South Wales today before weakening into a trough over the northeast on Thursday. A deep low pressure system will move south of Tasmania on Friday bringing westerly change across the state. Another trough is expected to develop over the western parts during Sunday and then to move slowly east. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Isolated showers and afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the southern inland and in the northeast. Northeast to northwest winds ahead of southwest change in the southwest. Forecast for Thursday Partly cloudy in the west and on the far north coast. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere tending scattered on the coast and ranges but clearing from the western slopes. Northeast to northwest winds turning south to southwest in the west and southeast. Forecast for Friday Isolated clearing showers on the central and south and ccentralcoast and on adjacent ranges. Scattered showers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to northwest winds inland, tending northeast near the coast. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers in the north and on the south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to northwest winds, tending northeast to southeast along parts of the coast.
