MELBOURNE - Dec 13/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Tuesday: WARNING SUMMARY: Fire Weather Warning for Tuesday. A Strong Wind Warning is current for the Far West, West, South Central and South East Coasts and Gulf Waters south of Cowell to Sellicks Beach for Tuesday. Barley Growers on Eyre Peninsula are advised that the potential exists for severe damage to crops on Tuesday. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Isolated light showers about the Lower South East coast clearing this evening. Isolated light showers extending from the west on Tuesday, reaching a line Marla to Mount Gambier by late evening, with isolated late thunderstorms in the far northwest. Warm in the southeast on Tuesday grading to very hot in the west, with Extreme to Catastrophic Fire Danger over the Western Agricultural district. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, turning northerly on Tuesday and freshening in the west and south, strong at times in the far west. A cooler, fresh to strong southwest change reaching Nullarbor late morning and a line Coober Pedy to Kingscote late evening.
