MELBOURNE - Dec 11/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream of Lake Hume. Minor To Major Flood Warning for Rural Areas for the Castlereagh River. Moderate Flood Warning for the Macquarie River at Dubbo and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Bogan River. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Nanami and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Queanbeyan River and Minor Flood Warning for the Molonglo River and Murrumbidgee River at Mt Macdonald. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murray River Downstream of Hume Dam. Minor Flood Warning for the Bokhara River at Goodooga and the Narran River at New Angledool. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Warrego River. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River. Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Walgett and Downstream and the Darling River at Bourke and Downstream. Weather Situation A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will move to the east and weaken Sunday as a weak front affects the south of the state. A high pressure system will move into the Tasman Sea early next week with an onshore stream and a few coastal showers likely. Forecast for the rest of Sunday Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far northeast. Isolated showers developing in the south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds inland, and southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast. Forecast for Monday Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges and the North West Slopes. Partly cloudy inland. Southeast to southwest winds. Forecast for Tuesday Scattered showers in the northeast, isolated along the remainder of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Mostly north to northeasterly winds inland, southeast to northeasterly on the coast. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers in most districts, tending scattered about the western slopes of the southern ranges.. Northeast to northwest winds before a southwest change in the southwest.
