Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Macquarie and Bell Rivers. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Bogan River. Major Flood Warning for the Mandagery Creek at Eugowra and Moderate Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Cowra and Downstream. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for Queanbeyan River and Minor for the Molonglo River and Murrumbidgee River at Mt Macdonald. Moderate Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murray River Downstream of Hume Dam. Minor Flood Warning for the Bokhara River at Goodooga. Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River. Flood Watch for the North West and Central West Districts of New South Wales and the Hunter Valley. Severe weather warning for flash flooding for the Upper Western, Central West Slopes & Plains and Central Tablelands forecast districts. Severe thunderstorm warning for the Illawarra, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Central West Slopes and Plains forecast districts. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Cape Byron and Moruya Heads. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Montague Island and Gabo Island. Weather Situation A low pressure trough across central and eastern New South Wales is moving slowly east as an associated cold front moves across the Tasman Sea. On Friday this trough will be over northeastern districts, as a high pressure ridge begins to extend into the state's west. During the weekend the trough will weaken and move to the Tasman Sea as the ridge strengthens across the region. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Fine and partly cloudy in the far northeast and southwest. Rain, showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, heaviest about central districts. Northwest to northeast winds, fresh at times, turning west to southwest in the west and south. Forecast for Friday Fine and mostly sunny across the southern inland. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms on the north coast and ranges. Rain, showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, heavy at times, gradually contracting northeast. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast, southeast to southwesterly winds extending through the remainder. Forecast for Saturday Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the northeast, easing. Isolated showers along the south and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds inland, and southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast. Forecast for Sunday Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers along the southern border. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds inland, and southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast. Forecast for Monday Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine inland.
