Minor Flood Warning for the Colo River at Putty Road. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for Rural Areas for the Castlereagh River Downstream of Coonamble. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Macquarie and Bell Rivers. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Bogan River. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for Queanbeyan Molonglo Rivers and the Murrumbidgee River at Mt Macdonald. Moderate To Major Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murray River Downstream of Hume Dam. Minor Flood Warning for the Bokhara River at Goodooga. Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River. Flood Watch for the North West, South West and Central West Districts of New South Wales. Severe weather warning for damaging winds and flash flooding for the Riverina, Upper Western, Australian Capital Territory, South Coast, Illawarra, Central West Slopes & Plains, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains, Southern Tablelands and Central Tablelands forecast districts. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Yamba and Gabo Island. Weather Situation A low pressure trough lies across southeastern and northwestern New South Wales. The trough will move slowly to the northeast today and Friday as a cold front and an associated low move across the southwestern Tasman Sea. On Saturday a high pressure system is expected to move southwest of the Bight extending slowly a ridge to the northeast of the state. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Partly cloudy in the far northeast and in the far southwest. Rain., showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds fresh at times turning west to southwest in the west and southeast. Forecast for Friday Partly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers on the north coast and ranges. Rain, showers and thunderstorms elsewhere contracting northeast. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast, west to southwesterly elsewhere tending southerly on the south coast. Forecast for Saturday Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the far northeast. Isolated showers on the south and central coasts and adjacent east ranges. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout. Forecast for Sunday Scattered showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers along the eastern southern border.
