Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 29/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River.
Flood Watch for the Castlereagh River Valley.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Port Hacking and Gabo Island.
Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by telephone 1300-659-218* or through some TV and radio broadcasts.
Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will move slowly west later today and Tuesday as a high pressure system moves east of Tasmania extending a ridge to the north. The high is expected to become semi stationary over the southern Tasman Sea by Wednesday extending the ridge to the north coast and the trough is expected to maintain unsettled weather conditions across the most of the state.
Forecast for the rest of Monday
Showers or rain areas. Isolated thunderstorms over central and northern parts, mostly inland. Northeast winds in the northeast. South to southeast winds remainder.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers in the far west. Areas of rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere, possible moderate to heavy falls over northern inland. Northeast to southeast winds tending light and variable in the northwest.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the northwest. Areas of rain or scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere. Northeasterly winds tending light and variable in the northwest.
Forecast for Thursday
Partly cloudy in the northwest. Showers or rain areas elsewhere. Isolated thunderstorms in the south and over northern inland. Northwest to northeast winds.
Forecast for Friday
Partly cloudy in the northwest. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered on the ranges and slopes. Isolated thunderstorms over northern inland. Northwest to northeast winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Tuesday.
