Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 28/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Final Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash.
Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River.
Flood Watch for the Murrumbidgee River Valley and Murray River Below Hume Dam.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Port Hacking and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A high over the eastern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the north coast of New South Wales. A trough of low pressure extends from the northwest of the state to the southeast corner and another high is south of the Bight. The trough is expected to move along the coast overnight before stalling around the Hunter coast later Monday. The trough should then weaken off the coast and re-develop over the inland of New South Wales. The next high will move to the southern Tasman Sea. Unsettled weather is expected to continue through the week in a southeast to northeast airstream.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday
Widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms over much of the state, with moderate to possibly heavy falls about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Northeast to northwest winds in the east. Southerly winds extending across the west.
Forecast for Monday
Showers or rain areas. Isolated thunderstorms over central and northern parts, mostly inland. Northeast winds in the northeast. South to southeast winds remainder.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers in the far west. Areas of rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds tending southwest to southeast in the west.
Forecast for Wednesday
Areas of rain or scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, apart from over the far northwest. Northeast to northwest winds.
Forecast for Thursday
Widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms over the eastern half. Isolated showers over the southwest corner. Northwest to northeast winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Monday.
