Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update
MELBOURNE - Nov 26/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Final Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Crowdy Head and Gabo Island. Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by telephone 1300-659-218* or through some TV and radio broadcasts. Weather Situation A slow-moving high pressure system near New Zealand direct moist winds into a trough over far western News South Wales. During Sunday the trough will move over the central parts of the state as a cold front moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea. The trough is expected to remain semi-stationary over the west until Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of Saturday Isolated clearing showers on the far north coast. Rain and isolated thunderstorms developing in the far west and extending to the central and southeastern parts during the day, possible local moderate to heavy falls in the west. Northeast to northwest winds, fresh along the coast, turning southwesterly in the far west. Forecast for Sunday Partly cloudy on the north coast and in the far southwest. Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere with possible heavy falls about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Northeast to northwest winds in the northeast. Southerly winds extending across the remainder. Forecast for Monday Partly cloudy in the far west. Showers, rain areas and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere. Northeast winds in the northeast. South to southeast winds remainder. Forecast for Tuesday Partly cloudy in the far west. Showers elsewhere. Northeast winds.
