MELBOURNE - Nov 25/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For the rest of today and Saturday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is current. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Isolated showers and thunderstorms over most districts, excluding Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East today, becoming scattered showers and squally thunderstorms over Pastoral and Flinders Districts during the afternoon and evening. A band of rain developing over central parts overnight, extending over eastern districts early Saturday morning and contracting east of the border by midday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms east of Mount Gambier to Coober Pedy on Saturday, contracting northeast of Marree during the afternoon. Isolated showers continuing over the agricultural area in the afternoon. Warm to hot in the north today with light northerly winds. Milder, moderate to fresh southerly winds in the west and south today, ahead of a cooler, fresh southerly change extending into the northeast interior during Saturday, strong at times near the coasts.
