Record Canola Meal Output in October
OTTAWA - Nov 25/10 - SNS -- Canadian canola meal production broke through 300,000 metric tons (MT) for the first time in the history of the Canadian crushing industry in October as overall canola crush volume in Canada rose above year earlier levels for eleventh consecutive month.
Statistics Canada reports oilseed processors crushed 531,318 metric tons (MT) of canola in October, up from both month earlier and year earlier levels.
Oil production in October totalled 239,345 MT while meal production amounted to 306,559 MT.
