Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 22/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa.
Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash.
Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River at Willara Crossing.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Port Kembla and Gabo Island.
Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by telephone 1300-659-218* or through some TV and radio broadcasts.
Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman extends a ridge over New South Wales . This high is expected to remain semi-stationary throughout the week, preventing any significant frontal systems from moving through New South Wales. A trough over central Australia will move over the far west of the state later in the week , and then move to central and eastern parts of the state during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday
Isolated afternoon showers with possible thunderstorms in the west, more likely near the Queensland border. Isolated showers in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the northeast. Chance of isolated showers in the west. Fine elsewhere. North to northeast winds.
Forecast for Thursday
Isolated showers in the northeast. Isolated showers in the west and southwestern inland increasing to rain in the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms in the far west. Fine elsewhere. North to northeast winds, tending northwesterly in the far southwest.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers in the northeast. Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the west and southern inland. North to northwest winds over the inland. North to northeast winds along the coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.
