MELBOURNE - Nov 21/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa. Final Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash. Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River at Willara Crossing. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Point Perpendicular and Gabo Island. Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by telephone 1300-659-218* or through some TV and radio broadcasts. Weather Situation A ridge of high pressure will further strengthen over New South Wales with winds gradually turning warmer northerly as an associated high builds over the Tasman Sea. This high is expected to remain the dominant feature throughout the coming week, thereby preventing any significant frontal systems from moving into New South Wales. Forecast for the rest of Monday Isolated showers with possible thunderstorms in the west. Isolated showers about the northern coast. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds. Forecast for Tuesday Isolated afternoon showers with possible thunderstorms in the west and south. Isolated showers in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. North to northeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers in the northeast and developing in the far southwest.
