Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 20/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa.
Final Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash.
Minor Flood Warning for the Paroo River at Willara Crossing.
Details of warnings are available on the Bureau's website www.bom.gov.au, by telephone 1300-659-218* or through some TV and radio broadcasts.
Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure strengthens over New South Wales from the west, bringing relatively cool east to southeasterly winds across the region. This ridge will remain over the state into next week, with winds gradually turning warmer northerly as an associated high builds over the Tasman Sea. This high is expected to remain the dominant feature throughout the coming week, thereby preventing any significant frontal systems from moving into New South Wales.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday
Isolated showers about the northern coast. Afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms developing in the far southeast, and over the northwest inland, more likely in the far northwest. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast wind.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated showers about the northern coast and over the northwest inland. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers in the northeast. Fine Elsewhere. East to northeast winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the northeast. Fine Elsewhere. East to northeast winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.
* Calls to 1300 numbers cost around 27.5c incl. GST, higher from mobiles or public phones.
