MELBOURNE - Nov 9/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation A semi-stationary high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to southeastern Queensland and is directing moist winds into a low pressure trough over central New South Wales. The trough will weaken during Wednesday and Thursday. Another, more complex low pressure system is expected to move through the west of the state during Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Fine in the far west and over parts of northern inland. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, becoming scattered over central parts in the afternoon. Northwest to northeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Fine in the far west. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, becoming scattered in the afternoon. Northwest to northeast winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms along the ranges and western slopes and over the far southwest. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds turning southwesterly in the far southwest overnight. Forecast for Saturday Mostly fine in the northeast, apart from the chance of isolated showers along the ranges. Scattered to isolated showers in the west and south. Northwest to northeast winds, turning southerly in the west.
