MELBOURNE - Nov 2/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa. Moderate Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Mungindi. Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream of Lake Hume. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Montague Island and Gabo Island. Weather Situation A low is off the New South Wales central coast is moving away to the southeast and conditions continue to ease. A high pressure ridge will push into the state from the west, bringing a cooler and drier southwesterly airstream across the region. Some coastal showers will redevelop during Wednesday as a high slowly approaches from the west and an onshore flow develops. At the end of the week it is likely that a trough will develop over northern New South Wales, resulting in showers pushing further inland. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Isolated showers developing along the southern half of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated coastal showers, increasing to scattered in the north. Mostly sunny in the west. East to southeast winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers over the eastern half, more scattered on the north coast. East to southeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Isolated showers over the eastern half, more scattered on the north coast. Southeast to northeast winds.
