MELBOURNE - Nov 1/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River Downstream of Darlington Point. Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Warrego River at fords Bridge Bywash. Final Minor Rural Flood Warning for the Paroo River at Willara Crossing. Moderate Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Mungindi. Minor Flood Warning for the Williams River at Dungog. Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream of Lake Hume. Severe weather warning for flash flooding for the Metropolitan, Illawarra and Central Tablelands forecast districts. Strong wind warning is current for Sydney Closed Waters. Gale warning for New South Wales waters between Broken Bay and Ulladulla. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Crowdy Head and Broken Bay. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Ulladulla and Gabo Island. Weather Situation A low pressure trough is bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms to eastern New South Wales. The trough will deepen tonight into a low over the southwestern Tasman Sea increasing winds along the coast and showers on the parts of south and central coasts will become widespread with locally heavy falls. Showers and winds are expected to ease during Tuesday as the low moves rapidly away from the coast and a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge to the north coast. Forecast for the rest of Monday Partly cloudy in the west and on the far north coast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, tending to rain on the parts of south and central coasts, with local heavy falls. North to northeast winds in the far northeast. Southwest to southeast winds elsewhere, becoming strong and gusty near the south and central coasts. Forecast for Tuesday Early rain on the parts of the south and central coast with local heavy falls, easing to showers in the morning and becoming isolated. Isolated showers on the remainder of the coast and adjacent ranges. Southeast to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty near the coast at first. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated coastal showers. Mostly sunny in the west. East to southeast winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers on the coast and on adjacent ranges. East to southeast winds.
