Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 30/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point and Downstream.
Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River at Corowa.
Moderate Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Mungindi.
Flood Watch for the Murrumbidgee Valley and Murray River Downstream of Hume Dam This Weekend.
Severe weather warning for damaging winds for the Snowy Mountains forecast district.
Strong wind warning is current for Sydney Closed Waters.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Smoky Cape and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A low lies over Victoria within a trough extending to Queensland. Widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms are associated with the trough today. The trough is expected to weaken as it move eastwards during Sunday and Monday, closely followed by a cold front. During Sunday, the rain will tend to showers early in the day, with thunderstorms contracting to the northeast of the state . Showery conditions will occur in most districts eastern and central districts during the new week under the influence of an upper level trough.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday
Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms over the inland extending to the southern ranges and coast, with moderate falls likely in the south west of the Divide. Possible showers and thunderstorms about the central and northern ranges. Fresh gusty north to northwest winds over the inland ahead of a west to southwesterly change in the far west.
Forecast for Sunday
Fine and partly cloudy in the northwest and on the north coast. Areas of rain early morning over the south tending to showers during the day. Showers over the remainder. Isolated thunderstorms in the eastern half. Northeast to northwest winds in the east. Cooler west to Southwest winds spreading through the west and south.
Forecast for Monday
Fine though partly cloudy in the west and far northeast. Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in the remaining northeast. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered along the coast. Northerly winds in the northeast, with west to southwesterly winds elsewhere.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers over the ssouthernborder districts and along the coast and ranges, tending scattered in the far northeast. Southwest to southeast winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the southeast. Mostly sunny over the remainder. SSouthwestto southeast winds.
