Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 24/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera and Downstream.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Seal Rocks and Point Perpendicular.

Weather Situation
A front has passed through NSW. A small low has formed to the east of the Sydney coast on this front, with a trough extending northwards to the northeast of the state. The trough is expected to result in scattered showers and possible thunderstorms over the northeast today, wile scattered showers along central parts of the coast should become isolated and clear later today as the low moves away. A High is located to the east of Tasmania with a ridge extending westwards towards the Bight. Another weak cold front is expected to move through the state during Tuesday and Wednesday, resulting in some isolated showers about the southeastern border and southern half of the coast.
Forecast for the rest of Monday
Early fog patches, chiefly inland. Scattered showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers and drizzle along central coastal districts, scattered at first along the coastal fringe, and clearing during the day. Isolated showers about the far southern slopes of the southern ranges and partly cloudy over the remainder. Southeast to southwest winds in the east, tending fresh about central parts of the coast. Light winds inland.
Forecast for Tuesday
Early fog patches . Isolated light showers in the northeast and isolated showers developing in the southeastern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds near the coast, tending northwest to southwest inland.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers on the south coast and on adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeast extending along the coast from the south. Light winds inland.
Forecast for Thursday
Isolated showers along the coast. Partly cloudy on and east of the ranges, mostly sunny remaining. Southeast to northeast winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.
